I move amendment No. 8:

In page 9, between lines 25 and 26, to insert the following:
“(h) that undue influence by a public official, including but not limited to the administration of justice or the proper functioning of state organs, has occurred, is occurring or is likely to occur,”.

I agree with Senator Byrne. I appreciate the Minister's re-examination but he has not offered any argument that takes account of the reasons I provided, and those given by Senator Byrne. The Minister is saying that this is what the Parliamentary Counsel has advised and that it is more robust despite the fact that the arguments we put forward challenge that to some extent.
