I move amendment No. 12:

In page 10, between lines 35 and 36, to insert the following:“(9) A public interest entity is in this section defined to include credit institutions, insurance undertakings and listed companies.”.

As far as I can see - and there is no claim of perfection on this side of the House - "public interest entity" is not defined in the Bill. The definition I used in my amendment was taken from a speech made by the Minister of State, Deputy Kathleen Lynch. If my amendment is of assistance I offer it to the Minister of State, Deputy Sherlock. If my amendment is not of assistance then we can discuss it on Report Stage.
