As I said, we have been heavily advised by the Personal Injuries Assessment Board, PIAB, the report of the Law Reform Commission and the scheme in the United Kingdom and in the North. The legislation closely mirrors the recommendations and the scheme operating in the UK but I am happy to discuss with the officials any difficulties Senators believe will arise. This is a standard recovery of compensation scheme which operates in almost all European countries and as I said, it is rather surprising that we have not done it here previously. It is technical, complex legislation, and I will bear in mind the type of cases to which the Senator has drawn attention.
