I thank the Minister of State for his comprehensive reply. The Minister, Deputy Shatter, had indicated that earlier. I commend Senator Jillian van Turnhout on raising the issue. To echo her words, I welcome the fact that the Minister will not leave it to the Law Reform Commission but will introduce it in a more timely manner in the new sexual offences Bill. I ask that the consultation be as wide as possible within a relatively expeditious timeframe.
