I thank the Minister. It was important to clear up that inconsistency in the original draft of the Bill and I am glad that has been clarified. It could have created problems down the line.

The Minister also accepted another amendment of ours on Committee Stage. He was to come back on the "shall" or "may" issue but he did not. Perhaps that might be kept under review by the Minister to ensure the gender balance provision is sufficiently strong. Senator Moran and I were concerned that the Committee Stage amendment was a little weakly worded.
