I have received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to allocate more funding to County Meath to deal with the crisis in road conditions in the county.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to introduce a regulation requiring all pharmacies to furnish a detailed receipt at the time of purchase of the total cost of the drugs and medication, including details of the moneys which are being claimed under the drug payment scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Fiach Mac Conghail of the following matter:

To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will make a statement in regard to the development of further extensive nuclear power facilities at Hinkley Point, Somerset; if the British Government consulted the Irish Government under the various international laws and protocols, including the Environmental Impact Assessment Directive of the European Union; and if the Government intends to ensure that the rights and interests of Ireland and the Irish people are defended in respect of the UK's decision to develop this nuclear power facility.

I have also received notice from Senator Lorraine Higgins of the following matter:

To ask the Minister for Finance to ensure due consideration is given to the criminal code in any suggested amendments to the code of conduct for those in mortgage arrears as may be proposed by the Central Bank.

I have also received notice from Senator Jillian van Turnhout of the following matter:

To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality the reason there is no legislative basis for direct provision as operated by the Reception and Integration Agency under the aegis of his Department.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Ó Clochartaigh, Byrne, Colm Burke, Mac Conghail and van Turnhout as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Ó Clochartaigh, Byrne, Colm Burke and Mac Conghail and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Higgins as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. Senator van Turnhout may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
