I move recommendation No. 8:

In page 27, lines 8 to 26, to delete subsection (2).

Recommendations Nos. 8 to 13 were tabled in the Dáil so I will not labour the point. They oppose the proposed changes to the taxation of the approved retirement funds, ARFs, and the approved minimum retirement funds, AMRFs. Will the Minister explain further to his response in the Dáil why he is not accepting these recommendations? Our problem concerns the negative impact of these changes on those with low to average pension funds. Will he address these concerns? The recommendations seek to restore the status quo which although not perfect was better than the changes proposed in the Bill.
