We can talk in the abstract about the housing market but the simple fact is that an enormous number of people simply cannot pay. They have been squeezed dry. I was delighted to hear Senator MacSharry fulminate on this subject and I hope Fianna Fáil will give a commitment that at the next election that it will revoke this grossly unjust tax.
