I thank the Minister and his hard working officials for their work in preparing the Bill, bringing it before the committee, the Dáil and Seanad. It has been a long process and hopefully the result of our deliberations will be an Act that will bring a degree of hope, certainty and optimism in cases where there is not at present. The debate in the Seanad showed the House at its best, with matters being thoroughly discussed in a non-partisan fashion with the interest of the people at the top of the agenda. I thank the Minister for his patience and understanding. We look forward to be Bill going back to the other House and being enacted in the near future so citizens can use its provisions allowing for a degree of economic and social progress, which is what we all hope will be the outcome of this legislation.
