We welcome these amendments with regard to jewellery and increasing the value of the car from ¤1,200 to ¤2,000. We sought a figure of ¤3,000 but we welcome this as a step forward. The Minister has taken a very sensible and pragmatic approach.

We appreciate the fact that the Minister listened to us. We have had a very good debate in the House on the Bill. There are many aspects of the Bill which my party does not support but it is very refreshing to see a Minister come to the House, listen to what people say, take on board their views and come back on Report Stage with amendments which reflect the Committee Stage amendments genuinely tabled by Senators. I commend the Minister for this and I support the Government amendments which have been tabled.
