The Senator outlined circumstances in Swords which he should possibly raise as an Adjournment matter. He would get more information on it. On the question of home help, I have explained on a number of occasions that the Government is committed to supporting older people living in the dignity and independence of their own homes and communities. I cannot pre-empt the budget process by announcing what will be in the budget and what finance will be available for home help next year, but the House can be assured that it is a priority for the Government to provide the necessary finance to ensure that everybody who needs home help will receive it.

Senator Bacik and several other Members raised the expert group report. I will arrange a debate on it. It will not be next week but probably the week after. I hope we will have a calm and informed debate, although there has been a bad start this morning. If the debate is conducted in that type of atmosphere-----
