I welcome the Minister for Justice and Equality, Deputy Alan Shatter, and I am glad to see that he is in fine form again. I raise on the Adjournment the announcement made by the Minister that an extra allocation of approximately 196 additional Garda cars would be made available. Will he give a breakdown of the number and location of the additional cars and how soon they will be made available? We have seen a spate of minor robberies in the Connemara area in the past couple of months. One of the concerns is that there is only one Garda car available in the whole of south Connemara. We hope that area will benefit from the additional allocation. I would welcome any clarification the Minister may be able to give me.
