I will read the briefing as to why the amendments are deemed to be out of order. Amendment No. 1 proposes the functions provided by the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission be expanded to include translation services for Bills made by a Minister and by any other person, and that the Bills should be available in each official language in advance of the debate on the Bills commencing. This would involve a potential charge on the Exchequer in the form of additional resources required to undertake this additional translation work.

Amendment No. 2 is ruled out of order for the same reason, namely, that it would involve a potential charge on the Exchequer, and likewise amendment No. 3.
