Amendments Nos. 4, 5, 8, 9, 14, 15, 19, 20, 23, 27, 29, and 30 refer to sections 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 16, 20, 24 and 25 of the Bill. These 12 amendments will have the effect of reducing the threshold for the receipt of anonymous donations to €100, reducing the threshold for opening a political donations account to €100 and reducing to €100 the threshold whereby a third party is recognised as such and must be registered. A similar donation threshold of €100 will now also apply in the definition an accounting unit of a political party.
