I join with Senator Bacik in suggesting a debate on State involvement in the institutional care of children and so on. I understand a Bill relating to the trust fund for survivors of institutional abuse is forthcoming. Perhaps the Leader will tell us when it will come before the Seanad?

I would like to comment briefly on a matter raised by Senator Bacik, namely, the current tragic situation regarding the children in the North of Ireland. It is clear that Cardinal Brady is under enormous pressure. No one can gloat over that. I certainly do not.
