Instead of decentralising services we are centralising the control of Ireland's water to Dublin. Local authorities are in a better position to carry out Government policy in this regard. It has been brought to my attention that whatever decision is made on this issue, all meters used should be manufactured in Ireland. It is possible to manufacture these meters here if necessary.
