Terry Leyden (Fianna Fail)

Our party leader has been clear from day 1 in this regard. There is unanimous backing for the proposal within the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party and we expect our supporters throughout the country will endorse the treaty. Its success is absolutely vital. It is regrettable that the same group of individuals who are opposed to everything are set on leading people down a cul-de-sac for the benefit of their own narrow political base. They are ranting about issues in the knowledge that it is in the best interest of this country and of Europe that the treaty be ratified.
