With regard to the last issue raised by Senator Darragh O'Brien, the Tánaiste gave a robust response, as reported in today's newspapers, to the assertion by Michael Link last week. The Tánaiste made it clear that it was not the case and that the fiscal compact was not negotiated in such a way as to avoid the need for a referendum. That is the answer the Senator seeks.
