I want the Minister to come to the House to tell us what she intends to do, and to ensure the provisions have retrospective as well as future application, safeguarding the rights of parents and children, as has been done in England, Scotland and Wales. Children who were adopted in 1970 are 18 now. The situation is going on for too long and we must deal with it.
