Today, a high-powered British political delegation will visit the Vatican and meet his Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, to discuss British relations with the Vatican, including issues such as human rights, the environment and climate change, and a raft of economic development issues between Britain and the Holy See. The fact that we do not have that perceived level of support from this Government to the Vatican leaves Ireland in a very vulnerable position.
