I do not propose to accept the amendment to the Order of Business, which suggests that the Taoiseach be obliged to come before the House today. The Taoiseach is in the Dáil, as is the case every Wednesday, and when he leaves it he will be departing on a very well-publicised trip to the United States in order that he might promote investment in and tourism to Ireland. He will also be delivering the message that this country is open for business and for investment. That is what he should be doing.
