I also call for a debate on the VHI. We have seen steady increases in charges in recent years and a number of further increases are predicted. The VHI is a State company and I note what the Minister said in regard to it. However, it is not beyond being brought before this House as a special guest to explain the rationale behind the increases which we are told will continue in the future. As a State agency, it has a responsibility to explain it. It is all about information. Once people have the information, they will accept it however difficult or unpalatable it may be.
