Agriculture and Fisheries: Statements, Questions and Answers
1:00 pm
Jim D'Arcy (Fine Gael)
I apologise to the Minister. I understand that Chinese agents have been scouring the EU market for bacon to meet the increased demand in the next six months from China. Is the Minister happy with the level of pig stock in the country and that we have a robust supply to meet demand? Are pig producers being encouraged to produce when the factories are not releasing the price they will pay?
