I have received notice from Senator David Cullinane that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to ensure that commitments given to replace St. Bridget's ward at St. Patrick's hospital in Waterford with a new 50-bed geriatric facility are acted upon and addressed as a matter of urgency.

I have also received notice from Senator Terry Leyden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the retention of the 24-hour, seven day a week accident and emergency service at Roscommon County Hospital now and into the future.

I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to outline the reasons scoil náisiúnta Thír an Fhia, Leitir Mór, was refused in its application for the summer improvements scheme; and the urgent need for this to be addressed, given the long-standing need for such improvements.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
