I would like to make the point that great efforts were made to allow me, or force me to make a personal statement with regard to Mr. Fintan O'Toole, which I refused to do. Even though that went to the Committee on Procedure and Privileges I resisted the overtures and risked possible censure because I was not prepared to make a personal statement.
