Darragh O'Brien (Fianna Fail)

On my first day here I will be brief as I understand we are under time pressure. I very much appreciate the kind remarks from people on all sides of the House today. I look forward to working hard in the Seanad for the good of the people outside. It is a House for which I have immense respect. Having watched it from outside before, I believe the quality of debate here is something from which the lower Chamber could learn based on my experience of the past three and a half years. I very much appreciate all the kind words and look forward to working with all colleagues over the next few weeks and hopefully in the next number of years.
