Terry Leyden (Fianna Fail)

I want more than a debate. I believe the Leader should table a motion that this House adopt the report of the sub-committee on Seanad reform as part of the policy of this House for the future. We must reform or be abolished. I believe reform is the right way forward.

I believe that the Members who form the next Government will come to the realisation that this House intends to remain. Mark my words, this House will survive the next Fine Gael-Labour coalition Government.
