On a positive note, I welcome the new lifeline thrown to mortgage holders who are in trouble today. This is something for which I, Senator MacSharry and many others have been looking for quite some time. What I want especially is a debate on the terms and conditions that will apply to that. Of course, it is the smart thing to do. There is no point in putting people on the street, otherwise we all will be looking for social housing.
