The Taoiseach, Deputy Cowen, will do the best he can in the time that is left to him in the knowledge that this Government will be gone at the next election. It has behaved with a certain amount of responsibility. In particular, I pay tribute to the courage and integrity of the Minister for Finance, Deputy Brian Lenihan, who has been outstanding both in his personal life and in the way he has directed the economic affairs of the country.
