I have been listening to my colleagues and I wish to express empathy for the 400,000 people who are unemployed. The Taoiseach must carry on his shoulders the responsibility of creating employment but the media is creating a sense of hopelessness. The Taoiseach now has an opportunity to spell out his vision and his dream for the country.

Listening to Senator McDonald one got the sense of hopelessness in the children to whom she referred. We must have the dream and the vision. The ethos of Fianna Fáil is to create a country that drives equality.
