Order of Business

The Order of Business is No. 1, statements on women's participation in politics, to be taken at the conclusion of the Order of Business and conclude not later than 1.30 p.m., if not previously concluded, with the contributions of Senators not to exceed ten minutes, on which Senators may share time, by agreement of the House, and with the Minister to be called upon ten minutes before the conclusion of the debate for closing comments; No. 2, statements on the Ombudsman's investigation report on the implementation of Children First, national guidelines for the protection and welfare of children, by the Health Service Executive, to be taken at 3 p.m. and conclude not later than 5 p.m. if not previously concluded, with the contributions of spokespersons not to exceed ten minutes and those of all other Senators not to exceed seven minutes, on which Senators may share time with the agreement of the House and with the Minister to be called upon ten minutes before the conclusion of the debate for closing comments and to take questions from leaders and spokespersons; and No. 3, Private Members' Bill, the Construction Contracts Bill 2010 – Second Stage, shall be taken at the conclusion of No. 2, but not before 5 p.m. and to conclude not later than 7 p.m. The business of the House shall be interrupted between 1.30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
