I have received notice from Senator Diarmuid Wilson that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to protect employment in Quinn Insurance and the Quinn Group.

I have also received notice from Senator Joe O'Toole of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to review the decision to abolish the primary school teacher supply panel and investigate ways to create a more cost effective or cost neutral supply panel.

I have also received notice from Senator Nicky McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children, based on the recent sexual assault treatment report, to provide a secure position within Longford-Westmeath General Hospital for the sexual assault treatment unit and for this location to have full bathroom facilities and a full complement of staff in order to ensure delivery of a quality safe service.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to bring forward proposals that will see an end to the application of vehicle registration tax in the State.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Wilson, O'Toole and McFadden and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Doherty may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
