I would appreciate some silence. A few months ago, Fine Gael said it would cut 50,000 public sector jobs. Now we have to listen to Senator Buttimer giving out to the Government about public sector savings. The trouble with Fine Gael is that it has never been consistent. It galls me to have to listen to it. Its members are doing more damage to their own party than to the Government. Fine Gael is involved in fantasy politics. I am not a member of any political party at the moment.
