I am being interrupted by my colleagues. Like everybody in the country I am looking forward with anticipation and some degree of trepidation to the Budget Statement to be made in the other House this afternoon. I hope I have been consistent in what I have said in this House over the past two years on matters pertaining to the economy and the political situation.

I am convinced, from the politics of the situation, that there is no redemption for the current Government. I am equally convinced that, come the election in January 2010 or 2012, Deputy Enda Kenny will be asked to lead a new Government.
