I add my words to Senator Boyle's proposal. I was very impressed by the debate and it was an eye opener for me. I did not know very much about the topic, although I had met some people with experience of the issues being discussed. I also found a viewpoint being expressed by the professionals. The Minister of State has opened our eyes and minds to the challenge which is not easily met. He has explained the matter very well and I appreciate the work put into it by the Green Party and both of its Senators.

The Minister of State has committed himself to a March deadline, which is useful. The debate has been productive and I hope Senator Boyle's proposal is accepted. The debate has opened our eyes and minds and given us a chance to air the issues. I look forward to holding the Minister of State to the March date.
