Will the Leader arrange a pre-legislative debate on the National Asset Management Agency, NAMA, with the Minister for Finance, Deputy Brian Lenihan? This body should be called the Private Asset Management Agency because none of the assets concerned is in the State. This House should have a role in this matter. It is one of the most important decisions ever made by the State and there are merits and demerits to the proposal. Why should 83 Fianna Fáil councillors lose their jobs because of a banking crisis? They are not responsible for the situation at Anglo Irish Bank.
