The Governor of the Bank of Ireland announced his resignation, which is long overdue, at this morning's AGM. However, the successor to Mr. Goggin said on the radio this morning that he had made mistakes. He represents more of the same. He lent irresponsibly to property developers. That is what happened and that is what we must acknowledge. I say to Senator Butler that while one or two heads have rolled, the culture is still absolutely rotten.
