When Standard & Poor's downgraded Spain's credit rating from AAA to AA+ on 19 January last, it made no such call. On 14 January, when they did the same to Greece, they made no such call or interference in the political process or in the sovereign government. I call on the Leader to ensure every time a foreign media or financial institution attacks Ireland's reputation, the Government press office would stand up and fight back for Ireland's international reputation.
