If we need further legislation to tackle this terrorist crime it should be introduced earlier rather than delaying it. We need to give the authorities all the tools necessary to tackle these terrorists. I take the opportunity to pay tribute to the unarmed gardaí who tackled gunmen last Sunday in Westmanstown. It puts into focus the work the Garda is doing on our behalf every day. We need to give it the tools to tackle these terrorists.
