I pick up on a point raised by Senators Callely and Leyden on SR Technics. There is a chance we can save jobs in that company and I welcome the fact that the Tánaiste will meet the unions tomorrow. I am also very concerned about the impact it will have not just on people who will lose their jobs but on apprenticeships. Some 15 apprentices who have been training for a number of years are in danger of losing their jobs. The same is true for many apprentices around the country who have a year or two left of their apprenticeships and as companies close, they are left in limbo. We need a debate on what we will do about apprentices nationwide and I ask the Leader to arrange that.

I wish to refer to the visit by the Minister for Foreign Affairs to Cuba on the 50th anniversary of the revolution there. It is also the tenth anniversary of the imprisonment of the Miami Five in Miami.
