National Gallery.

Paschal Donohoe (Fine Gael)
I thank the Minister of State for his response. I congratulate him on the work of his Department, particularly on the new gallery in Farmleigh House and on the exhibitions that have been held there.
I am struck by the fact that the Minister of State identified that little savings, if any, will be realised through this process, which is not necessarily bad. If we are entering this process, as it appears we are, we need to focus on how we can put these institutions on a firmer footing and ensure that the identities of the three galleries flourish. That appears to be a good move. I look forward to the legislation and the plans the Minister of State will bring forward to make this happen.
