I, too, want to be associated with the expressions of thanks to the staff in the Seanad and throughout the House who are working here early in the morning because the House sat through the night. I thank the Minister for paying attention to what was said during what was an extremely healthy debate. I am glad I was able to support the Bill, which is in the national interest. However, I harbour a number of reservations. I hope the consensus among the parties evident during the debate can be replicated when the scheme is presented to the House. It is important the Minister takes on board the views expressed by Members and ensures that these are reflected in the scheme. I thank the Minister and his staff for their attendance.
