Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Bill 2008: Committee Stage.
7:00 pm
Paddy Burke (Fine Gael)
To follow on from Senator Kelly's point, how does the Minister see the banks trading their way out of the difficulties because their problem, as the Minister has said, is one of liquidity? If no cash is injected other than getting large amounts of cash on deposit, how does the Minister see them working their way out of the difficulties? None of the banks has said it does not need the Minister's assistance. How does the Minister see them trading their way out of the difficulty?
