The Taoiseach indicated that he and President Bush had recently had an opportunity to discuss the difficulty of the undocumented Irish. He stated they would assist those aged 17 to 35 years in a manner that would enable them to engage in a cultural exchange which could be renewed once. While all Senators want to alleviate the plight of the undocumented and do the right thing, we must realise that there are hundreds of different nationalities in the United States. Thankfully, Ireland is beginning to experience a similar development, which must be managed.

I have asked the Taoiseach to address the House to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. On that occasion, I will ask him to make a brief statement on the possible misquotations which have appeared in some newspapers.
