We could talk ourselves down and into further recession, but we have had very good times in the past ten or 15 years. We have had a tremendous injection into our infrastructure and a total change with regard to the diversification of jobs available. If we are to re-examine the direction we should take, we should consider how to create more blue chip employment opportunities in the research and development area.

Notwithstanding this success, we should not say we have not made mistakes. We have had the biggest capital programme in the history of the State, not just for one year, but for the past ten years.
