I raised the matter with the Minister of State, Deputy Smith, and the Taoiseach. The Minister of State is a good politician. As I have said before there is no point in simply introducing policies. They need to be revised if more relevant information becomes available. He was right to adjudicate on this policy because it was initially intended to benefit disadvantaged parents.
