I have received notice from Senator Donie Cassidy that, on the adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the exact position regarding cancer care services in the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to indicate a willingness to explore with the Ministers for Arts, Sports and Tourism and Health and Children and their officials the way recent research underlining the links between music and the development of the left hemisphere of the brain, which supports reasoning, can be brought into early education opportunities.

I have also received notice from Senator Alan Kelly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sports and Tourism to clarify the level of progress, if any, that has been made in the proposed decentralisation of Fáilte Ireland and its staff from its Amiens Street and Baggot Street offices in Dublin to Mallow, County Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the alleviation of Cork Airport debt and the creation of an independent autonomous Cork Airport board.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Cassidy, Keaveney and Kelly and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Buttimer may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
