I am concerned about the HSE embargo on recruitment currently in force which is affecting BreastCheck. Women are not being diagnosed and the services are not available to those who are diagnosed because of this embargo. I ask the Leader to invite the Minister for Health and Children to the House to give her views on this serious issue.

I wish to be associated with the remarks of previous speakers, with those of Senator Fitzgerald in particular, regarding the child care subvention issue. Significant numbers of people will be disadvantaged and this issue must be dealt with.
