I do not know. We commented on that before, a Chathaoirligh; we will leave that one pass. I wish to mention the Irish Planning Institute's comments on the figures for many small villages which show that they are at risk either from depopulation or over-growth. It appears many settlements are either losing population to such an extent that their future is at risk or they are being overwhelmed by population growth, which is resulting in the risk of them becoming commuter towns. Either scenario is undesirable. Better planning and policy must be put in place to avoid these problems and ensure more balanced development of settlements in both urban and rural areas.
