I have received notice from Senator McHugh that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the current arrangements between Donegal and Belfast facilitating the treatment of different levels of cancer patients.

I have also received notice from Senator Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure the retention of competition in the health insurance market and to review the risk equalisation scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Ulick Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to reassess the Comhairle na nOspidéal report, which opposed the establishment of a neurosurgical facility at University College Hospital Galway, to re-examine the need for such a unit and to provide the necessary funding.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide an update on the status of the application by Scoil Etchen, Kinnegad, County Westmeath, for a proposed building project which is urgently required to facilitate the demand for places at the school, caused by increased population levels in Kinnegad.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to outline the outstanding boundary issues to be resolved in the fire services call-out procedure, and to investigate and resolve the difficulties in the boundaries in the Camp West area especially between Sligo and County Roscommon.

I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected those raised by Senators McHugh, Bradford and Ulick Burke and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Bannon may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise. I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Feighan as the Minister has no official responsibly in the matter. It is a matter for the relevant local authority.
